To the Weng’An (Wengan) Public Security Ministry: الى weng'an (wengan) وزارة الامن العام :Applicant: Li Xiuhua, Chinese Communist Party Member, Male, 36 years of age, Han, Weng’An resident, father of victim Li Shufen. مقدم الطلب : xiuhua لى ، عضو في الحزب الشيوعى الصينى ، ذكر ، 36 سنة ، هان ، weng'an المقيم ، والد الضحيه Shufen لي.
My daughter Li Shufen, before death, was a second year (8th grade) student at the local middle school. Shufen لي ابنتي ، قبل الموت ، وكانت السنة الثانية (الصف الثامن) طالب في المرحلة الاعداديه المحلية. In order to study more conveniently, she rented an apartment from Liu Jingxue. من أجل دراسة أكثر سهولة ، وقالت انها استأجرت شقة من jingxue ليو. At 18:00 (6 PM) in the afternoon of June 21nd, she was called away from her apartment by classmate Wang Jiao. في 18:00 (6 مساء) في فترة ما بعد الظهر من يونيو 21nd ، وقالت انها دعت بعيدا عن شقتها عن طريق زميل وانغ جياو. On the same day at 23:12 (11:12 PM), Wang Jiao used her cell phone to call the victim’s brother Li Shuyong (a graduate of a local high school) informing him that Li Shufen was playing with her, and would be staying over that night, and definitely wouldn’t be going home. وفى نفس اليوم فى 23:12 (11:12 مساء) ، وانغ جياو استخدام الهاتف الخليوي هي الدعوة الى شقيق الضحيه لي shuyong (خريج مدرسة ثانويه محلية) يبلغه فيها بأن لي Shufen كان يلعب معها ، و وسيكون البقاء اكثر من تلك الليلة ، وبالتأكيد لن يكون يعودون الى أوطانهم.
Shortly after midnight (00:29), Wang Jiao used the same telephone to call Li Shuyong and claimed: “Your sister drowned in the West Gate River, next to the bridge”. بعد وقت قصير من منتصف الليل (00:29) ، وانغ جياو استخدم نفس الهاتف للاتصال shuyong وادعي لي : "اختك لقوا مصرعهم غرقا في نهر البوابه الغربية ، بالقرب من الجسر". Li Shuyong quickly woke up his friend Liu Kailong sleeping next door and drove directly for the bridge. Shuyong لي بسرعة استيقظ صديقه ليو kailong النوم ودفع الباب التالي مباشرة للجسر. On the way out through the North Gate, they happened to run into a police patrol. على الطريق من خلال البوابه الشمالية ، وهي لتشغيل حدث في دورية للشرطة. Li Shuyong and the others with them asked where Li Shufen and Wang Jiao were; these two replied that Li Shufen was in the river, and Wang Jiao was up there… Liu Kailong immediately leaped into the river, but could not find anything. لى shuyong مع الآخرين وطلب منهم فيها Shufen وانغ لي جياو كانت ؛ هذين اجاب بأن لي Shufen كان في النهر ، وكان وانغ جياو هناك… حتى ليو kailong على الفور قفز الى النهر ، ولكنها لم تستطع ان تجد اي شيء. Wang Jiao came to the scene, and with the two young males there all said that before diving in the river, everyone was driving rice wine at home. جاء وانغ جياو الى مكان الحادث ، ومع اثنين من الشباب الذكور وقال ان هناك قبل كل الغوص في النهر ، وكان الجميع قيادة والارز والنبيذ في المنزل. At the incident site, they had been drinking beer and eating BBQ. فى موقع الحادث ، فقد شرب البيرة وأكل bbq. Li Shufen said that because her parents were distant from her, and she can’t get over it, and that she might as well “leave early”, and then jumped into the water. لى Shufen قال انه نظرا لان والديها وكانت بعيدة عن بلدها ، وقالت انها لا تستطيع الحصول عليها ، وانها قد وايضا "الاجازه في وقت مبكر" ، ثم قفز الى المياه. Based on the requests of rescuers Liu Kailong, Yang Jingyou, Yang Daozhi and others, the two police officers on site took away the three suspects Wang Jiao, Cheng Guangquan, Liu Yanchao. بناء على الطلبات المقدمة من عمال الانقاذ ليو kailong ، jingyou يانغ ، ويانغ daozhi اخرى ، اثنين من ضباط الشرطة فى الموقع استولوا على المشتبه فيهم الثلاثة وانغ جياو ، guangquan تشينغ ، وليو yanchao.
At 3:44 AM of June 22nd, the relatives of the victim and her former neighbors found a way to bring the corpse to the shore, and also reported the crime to 110 and the local police office. 3:44 صباحا فى الثاني والعشرين من حزيران / يونية ، وأقارب الضحيه واولادها السابق الجيران وجدت طريقة لتحقيق الجثه الى الشاطئ ، وأبلغ ايضا عن الجريمة الى 110 ومكتب الشرطة المحلية. After arriving at work on June 22nd，the police replied that the issue had been transferred to the criminal detective branch. بعد وصوله الى العمل في حزيران / يونيو الثانية والعشرين ، والشرطة ، فأجاب ان هذه المساله تم نقلها الى مخبر فرع الجناءيه. At 20:00 (8 PM) on the 22nd, the public security department’s coroner arrived with a flashlight, and performed a rough examination of the victim’s upper body. في 20:00 (8 مساء) على الثانية والعشرين ، المديرية العامة للامن العام الذي وصل الى قاضي التحقيق مع المصباح ، واجرى دراسة الخام الضحيه القسم الاعلى من الجسم. He orally informed me and others that the conclusion was Li Shufen had drowned to death. وقال انه ابلغني شفويا وغيرها وكانت النتيجة ان لي Shufen قد لقوا مصرعهم غرقا حتى الموت. Because this applicant and other relatives were sunk in tragedy, we didn’t think critically about various issues, and didn’t propose a full autopsy and an examination of the lower torso. لأن هذا الطلب وغيرهم من الأقارب وكانت غارقه في ماساه ، ونحن لا نفكر بصورة حاسمة حول مختلف القضايا ، ولم يقترح تشريح كامل واجراء فحص للانخفاض الجذع.
The applicant and other relatives of the victim are citizens who respect the law, and we can not detain those suspected of causing her death: Wang Jiao, Cheng Guangquan, and Liu Yanchao. مقدم الطلب وغيرها من اقارب الضحيه من مواطني احترام القانون ، ونحن لا يمكن احتجاز المشتبه في التسبب في وفاتها : وانغ جياو ، guangquan تشينغ ، وليو yanchao. Only the country’s public security offices, the prosecutors office have the legal authority and rights to investigate those accused of criminal law. إلا الأمن العام في البلد المكاتب ، مكتب المدعين العامين لديها السلطة القانونية وحقوق المتهمين للتحقيق في القانون الجنائي. But the public security office in charge of the case has already clearly replied that the actions of these three do not make them suspects and has ended investigation. ولكن مكتب الامن العام المكلف بالقضيه قد وردت من الواضح ان هذه الاجراءات لا تجعل ثلاثة من المشتبه فيهم ومنهم قد انهى التحقيق.
This applicant has three clear requests for the public security branch: وهذا واضح لمقدم الطلب ثلاثة طلبات لفرع الامن العام :
1: Separate and re-interrogate the three involved. 1 : مستقل واعادة استجواب الثلاثة المعنية.
2: Perform a thorough examination of Li Shufen’s corpse. 2 : اجراء دراسة شاملة لللي Shufen للجثة.
3: Go into deep investigation of all involved parties, search for clues to solving the crime. 3 : اذهب الى التحقيق العميق من جميع الاطراف المعنية ، الى البحث عن القرائن وحل الجريمة.
Now, the second petition ( الآن ، تقديم التماس ثان) 连接 ). (.
Applicant: Li Xiuhua, Male, 36 years of age, male, Weng’an (Wengan) resident. مقدم الطلب : لي xiuhua ، ذكر ، 36 سنة ، ذكر ، weng'an (wengan) المقيم.
Reason: Our daughter was murdered, and the applicant requested that the public security break the case. السبب : ان ابنه قتل ، ومقدم الطلب وطلب ان الامن العام كسر حالة على حدة. Criminal and police forces then cooperated to persecute the relatives of the victim. قوات الشرطة الجناءيه وبعد ذلك تعاونت لاضطهاد اقارب الضحيه.
Request: Please, let the higher levels of the party, government, and government organizations quickly solve this case, punish the criminals, eliminate the negative influence and calm public anger. الطلب : من فضلك ، اود ان المستويات العليا للحزب ، الحكومة ، والمنظمات الحكوميه بسرعة لحل هذه القضية ، ومعاقبة المجرمين ، والقضاء على التأثير السلبي لتهدئة الجمهور والغضب.
Events and reason: On June 21st at around 11 PM, the applicant’s daughter was murdered by others and dumped in the water underneath the bridge near West Gate. أحداث والسبب : الحادي والعشرين في حزيران / يونيو حوالي الساعة 11 ، مقدم الطلب قتل ابنه من الآخرين والقيت في المياه تحت الجسر بالقرب من البوابه الغربية. 20 hours after the case was reported, the public security office’s coroner examined the corpse, and the conclusion was: “Li Shufen drowned to death.” 8 hours before the examination, the suspects provided by the victims’ family were released. 20 بعد ساعات من الحالات المذكورة ، فان الامن العام للمكتب الطبيب الشرعي فحص الجثه ، وكانت النتيجة : "لقوا مصرعهم غرقا Shufen لي للموت". 8 ساعات قبل الفحص ، والمشتبه فيهم المقدمة من الضحايا واطلق سراح الاسرة.
After the examination was completed, the public security ordered and intimidated us into burying the corpse on numerous occasions. وبعد الانتهاء من الامتحان ، والامن العام والترهيب امر بنا الى دفن الجثه في مناسبات عديدة. The applicant refuses to accept the public security’s irresponsible behavior in not investigating a murder case, and on the 23rd filed a petition calling on the public security office to detain and investigate the suspects, and calling on an examination, and launching a full investigation. مقدم الطلب ترفض قبول الامن العام التصرفات غير المسءوله على عدم التحقيق في قضية جريمه قتل عمد ، والثالثة والعشرين على قدم التماسا يدعو مكتب الامن العام لاعتقال المشتبه بهم والتحقيق فيها ، واعطي الكلمه للدراسة ، والشروع في اجراء تحقيق كامل .
The same day after receiving that petition, the criminal investigation team at the public security office agreed to help arbitrate private/civil negotiation, but orally told me that they can not prosecute the case criminally. في نفس اليوم بعد تلقى هذا الالتماس ، فان فريق التحقيق الجنائي في مكتب الأمن العام وافقت على التحكيم الخاصة / التفاوض المدني ، ولكن شفويا وقال لي انه لا يمكن ملاحقة القضية جناءيه. In the afternoon of June 24th, the public security ministry formally issued a paper document specifying it would not be establishing a criminal case to investigate the incident, and gave a limit of 5 PM for burial of the body. في فترة ما بعد الظهر الرابعة والعشرين من حزيران / يونية ، وزارة الامن العام رسميا اصدر وثيقة تحدد ورقة فإنه لن يكون من اقامة قضية جناءيه للتحقيق في الحادث ، والقى الحد من الساعة 5 لدفنه من الجسم.
The applicant did not receive the notice. مقدم الطلب لم تتلق الاشعار. It was probably 7 PM on the same evening that they informed to go to the public security ministry, and the county party secretary, the head of the public security ministry, and the leadership of local township/village all participated. انها ربما كانت الساعة 7 مساء على نفس انها ابلغت الى الذهاب الى وزارة الامن العام ، وامين حزب المقاطعه ، ورئيس مكتب وزارة الامن العام ، والقيادة المحلية في البلدات / القرى وشارك جميع. The police agreed to another investigation of the corpse, but the coroner refused. الشرطة وافقت على فحص آخر للجثة ، ولكنه رفض الطبيب الشرعي.
The morning of June 25th, the applicant was forced to seek a coroner from Duxi. في صباح الخامس والعشرين من حزيران / يونية ، مقدم الطلب واضطرت الى البحث عن الطبيب الشرعي من duxi. The detectives at the public security ministry informed all of those involved in retrieving the corpse to come back to the ministry for further questioning and investigation. فان المحققين في وزارة الامن العام وابلغ جميع المعنيين في استخراج الجثه ليعود الى وزارة لمزيد من الاستجواب والتحقيق. The person who personally pulled Li Shufen’s corpse back on land Li Xiushi (the victim’s uncle, middle-school teacher) was invited at 9:28 AM to ride back to the ministry in a police car. من الشخص الذي سحبت لي شخصيا Shufen العودة للجثة على الأرض لي xiushi (الضحيه العم ، ومدرسي المدرسة المتوسطة) ودعي فى الساعة 9:28 الركوب الى الوزاره في سيارة شرطة. While being questioned by the police, Li Xiuzhong was cruelly injured by use of baton and kicking. وفي حين استجوابه من قبل الشرطة ، وكان لي xiuzhong بقسوه واصيب استخدام العصا والركل. Later, the police car took him to the education ministry for “thought work”. وفي وقت لاحق ، سيارة شرطة اقتادته الى وزارة التربيه والتعليم ل"الفكر والعمل". Li Xiuzhong’s wife (Lan Wuping) and sister (Li Xiuju) were informed Li Xiuzhong had been assaulted and was being held by the police. Xiuzhong لي زوجة (الشبكه المحلية wuping) وأخت (لي xiuju) وأبلغ لي xiuzhong قد تعرض لاعتداء وكانت تحتجزهم الشرطة. They went forth to investigate, but not only did they not see their relative, but were also handcuffed and thrown in prison. ذهبوا اليها للتحقيق ، ولكن ليس فقط انها لم لا انظر النسبيه ، ولكن ايضا في ايديهم والقيت في السجن.
In the afternoon at 5:30, the applicant finally returned from Duxi. في 5:30 بعد الظهر في مركز ، وأخيرا عاد مقدم الطلب من duxi. The head detective informed me by phone to return to the ministry to do the paperwork for a second examination of the corpse. رئيس المخبر وابلغني عن طريق الهاتف فى العودة الى وزارة العمل الورقي على القيام بذلك لفترة ولاية ثانية للفحص الجثه. I replied: you arrested the three people from my family who went to the police department, I’m too afraid to come. اجبته : كنت قد اعتقلت ثلاثة اشخاص من عائلتي من ذهب الى ادارة الشرطة ، وانا خائف جدا المقبلة. After about half an hour, the public security ministry released Li Xiuzhong and the others. وبعد حوالي نصف ساعة ، افرجت وزارة الامن العام لي xiuzhong وغيرها. But as soon as Li Xiuzhong left the education ministry, he was attacked by several unidentified young men. ولكن بمجرد ان غادر لى xiuzhong وزارة التربيه والتعليم ، وكان للهجوم من قبل العديد من الشبان مجهولي الهوية. They chased him for 500 meters, where he lay in a pool of blood. انها لاحقت لعنة نحو 500 متر ، حيث تكمن في بركة من الدماء. Those involved also threatened to attack the petitioner’s son. الجهات المعنية ايضا تهديد للهجوم على ابن لصاحب الشكوى. Anonymous observers called 110 and the victim was taken to the hospital for critical treatment. ودعا المراقبون غفل 110 وكان الضحيه الى المستشفى لتلقي العلاج الحاسم. Right now, he is in the 51st bed of the surgical ward, bleeding from all orifices and in a daze, in critical condition. والآن ، وهو في الحاديه والخمسين للسرير الجراحه وارد ، تنزف من كل الفوهات وفي المذهول ، في حالة صحيه حرجة.
In summary, the applicants daughter was drowned by others. خلاصة القول ، ان ابنه كان من مقدمي الطلبات من قبل آخرين لقوا مصرعهم غرقا. Public security refused to investigate and solve the case, and then the police/crime organized together to persecute the family and the relatives. الامن العام رفض التحقيق ولحل القضية ، وبعد ذلك بين الشرطة والجريمة المنظمه معا لاضطهاد الاسرة والاقارب. The bloody result of their collaboration is obvious and backed by evidence. الدمويه نتيجة للتعاون واضح وتدعمها الادله. The officials are prejudice against me because we know no one in power. المسؤولون التحيز ضد لي لأننا نعرف ان احدا في السلطة. The average public completely sympathize with the sad state of our family, and have all lent their signatures to our petition, and are donating money for a rescue. متوسط العامة نتعاطف تماما مع الحاله المءسفه في اسرتنا ، وقدمت لها كل بالتوقيع على التماسنا ، والتبرع لانقاذ المال. The people are united in calling for clear justice! الشعب المتحدة في الدعوة الى العدالة واضحة!

I believe most officials in Weng’an and Guizhou aren’t involved in this (not to mention of the government in Beijing). واعتقد ان معظم المسؤولين في weng'an وguizhou هي لم تشارك في هذه (ناهيك من الحكومة في بكين). But it’sa sad fact that as the government has cracked down on police abuse (including video-taped interrogations, etc), some criminals wearing police uniforms have simply found a way around this. ولكن الحقيقة المحزنه it'sa كما ان الحكومة اجراءات صارمه ضد سوء المعامله من جانب الشرطة (بما فيها الاستجوابات المسجله على اشرطه الفيديو ، الخ) ، وبعض المجرمين يرتدون زي الشرطة ببساطة وجدت طريقه نحو هذا. If you insult a police officer, some of his “friends” could very well track you down. اذا كنت اهانة ضابط في الشرطة ، بعض "اصدقائه" من الممكن جدا انخفاض المسار لكم.
What’s the solution? ما الحل؟ An open transparent media combined with an effective legal system will definitely help. مفتوحة وشفافة وسائل الاعلام بالاضافة الى نظام قانوني فعال سوف يساعد. Crucify the police officers and petty criminals behind this and a thousand other similar cases. اصلب ضباط الشرطة والمجرمين وراء هذه البسيطة وألف الحالات المماثله الاخرى.
I also hope the reformers in the Party understand one thing: they can stand with the people, or they can stand with the criminals. وامل ايضا الاصلاحيين في الحزب فهم شيء واحد : انها يمكن ان تقف مع الشعب ، او يمكن ان تقف مع المجرمين. If they’re wise, the next round of reforms will focus on allowing those outside of government effectively supervise and turn in these criminals. لو الحكيمه ، الجولة المقبلة من الاصلاحات سوف تركز على فرصة لمثل هؤلاء من خارج الحكومة على نحو فعال وبدوره في الإشراف على هؤلاء المجرمين.

You would think an unexplained death would automatically trigger a full police investigation, and an autopsy. كنت أعتقد غير مبرر من شأنه ان الموت الكامل تلقائيا الى البدء فى اجراء تحقيقات الشرطة ، وتشريح الجثه. Bizarre to me that the family has to petition for such. غريب لي ان الاسرة لمثل هذا الالتماس.
Buxi, you’ve commented before about the Chinese legal system ie some judges aren’t lawyers etc. So in China, can it be assumed that coroners (or at least the people doing autopsies) are doctors? Buxi ، كنت قد علقت من قبل حول النظام القانونى الصينى اي بعض المحامين والقضاة ليسوا في الصين وما الى ذلك ، يمكن ان يفترض ان الاطباء الشرعيين) او على الاقل القيام شعب التشريح) طبيبا؟ Are there some standards for medical training, such that if a coroner says there’s no evidence of rape, and death was by drowning, that one can believe that? هل هناك بعض المعايير لتدريب طبي ، على ان يكون الطبيب الشرعي يقول اذا كان هناك اي دليل على الاغتصاب ، وكان الموت غرقا ، وانه يمكن للمرء أن يعتقد ذلك؟

They cannot prosecute the village members who were involved in the rioting, the idea that they should is absurd. انهم لا يستطيعون ملاحقة اعضاء القرية من شاركوا في اعمال الشغب ، فان فكرة انه ينبغى ان من السخف. The birth and creation of an atmosphere of lawlessness caused this situation, and so a belated attempt to apply the rule of law can reverse the process? ولادة وايجاد جو من الفوضى تسبب فى هذا الوضع ، وذلك متاخره ومحاولة لتطبيق سيادة القانون يمكن عكس هذه العملية؟ Chalk it up to public anger and let it be; riots are diets for the system. الطباشير انها تصل الى الجمهور والغضب وليكن ؛ اعمال الشغب التي وقعت هي لنظام الوجبات الغذاءيه.
People who read the myriad online Chinese “blogs” and “news” should be more skeptical - who posts this information, and how accurate is the translation? من يقرأ الناس لا تعد ولا تحصى على الانترنت الصينية "بلوق" و "الاخبار" ينبغي ان تكون اكثر مشكك -- من وظائف هذه المعلومات ، ومدى دقة الترجمة هي؟ What are their motives? ما هي دوافعهم؟ Young people are involved in studying, older people have the demands of family and work. الشباب المشاركين في الدراسه ، وكبار السن لمطالب الاسرة والعمل. Then there are the demands of life and seeking pleasure. ثم هناك متطلبات الحياة والبحث عن المتعه. Why suddenly has there been an explosion in people with time enough to (with no seeming monetary gain) act as a third and fourth filter for news? لماذا فجاه هل كان هناك انفجار في الناس مع الوقت ما يكفي ل(مع ما يبدو من اي كسب النقد) بمثابة مرشح الثالث والرابع للحصول على الاخبار؟
I have some questions about this blog in general. ولدى بعض الاسءله حول هذا بلوق في العام. If you are “blogging for China”, does that mean that you have some inherent bias to show? اذا كنت "المدونات بالنسبة للصين" ، هل يعني ذلك ان لديك بعض الملازمه لاظهار التحيز؟ How much are you blogging for China, maybe 70% for China, 30% against? كم انت لالمدونات والصين ، وربما بالنسبة الى الصين 70 ٪ ، 30 ٪ مقابل؟ Somedays it’s an 80/20 split if you are feeling good? Somedays انه احد 80/20 سبليت اذا كنت شعور جيد؟ Do you intend to say that everyone else is blogging against China? هل تنوي ان اقول ان كل شخص آخر هو المدونات ضد الصين؟ What do you say about the people who are neutral, are they “blogging for Switzerland”? ماذا تقول عن الأشخاص من تكون محايدة ، هي "المدونات بالنسبة لسويسرا"؟

Several lessons to learn from this episode (that we already knew): عدة دروس للتعلم من هذه الحلقه (اعرف ان لدينا بالفعل) :
1. People don’t trust the police or court system to deal with crime and bring those responsible to justice. الناس لا يثقون الشرطة او المحكمه نظام للتعامل مع الجريمة وتقديم المسؤولين عنها الى العدالة.
2. Without a trustworthy media, people believe and act on rumours. بدون جديره بالثقه وسائل الاعلام ، نرى الشعب والعمل على الاشاعات.
3. There is a deep feeling of injustice and rage among some people, enough to trigger violence. وهناك شعورا عميقا بالظلم والغضب بين بعض الناس ، اي ما يكفي لتحريك العنف.
The ordinary Chinese are in the same situation as American blacks. العاديه الصينية هي في نفس وضع السود فى امريكا. They know the police and authorities are against them, the media won’t report their problems and there are pent up feelings of resentment that can find an outlet in violence. انهم يعرفون الشرطة والسلطات ضدهم ، ووسائل الاعلام ، لن تقرير مشاكلهم وهناك حتى المحتجز على مشاعر الاستياء التي يمكن ان تجد منفذا في اعمال العنف.

Heiheianan raises a very interesting point about bias. Heiheianan يثير نقطة مثيرة جدا للاهتمام عن التحيز. A radical nationalism is of course problematic. أ القوميه المتطرفة هو طبعا للمشاكل. The railings against the “west”, “western media” and “anti-China” messages that have been common this year suggest a far virulent nationalism more akin to fascism. في السور ضد "الغرب" ، "وسائل الاعلام الغربية" و "مناهضه للصين" الرسائل التى تم المشتركة هذا العام تشير الى القوميه الشرسه الآن اقرب الى الفاشيه. A virulent nationalism may provide a temporary benefit to the CCP, given the current climate of increasing instability, if it can polarize public opinion into “China” vs “them” to provide a facade of legitimacy. أ القوميه الشرسه التي يمكن ان توفر المنافع المؤقتة لمدونة الاجراءات الجناءيه ، وبالنظر الى المناخ الحالي من عدم الاستقرار المتزايد ، واذا كان يمكن استقطاب الرأي العام الى ان "الصين" مقابل "هم" لتوفير واجهة شرعيه. This is of course a high risk approach as there is simply to much diversity and too many challenges in China to use such a simplistic message as an effective lever of political control. وهذا بطبيعة الحال ارتفاع مخاطر النهج هو ببساطة ان هناك الكثير من التنوع والتحديات كثيرة جدا في الصين لاستخدام مثل هذا التبسيط رسالة رافعه بوصفه وسيلة فعالة للسيطره السياسية.

Actually Wahaha, I’m just suggesting that there is more than one opinion on what’s the best approach and that growing national pride could prompt such questions. There’sa new article from the Guizhou Daily, in which the uncle lying in the hospital is interviewed. هنالك مادة جديدة من guizhou اليومي ، الذي يرقد العم المستشفى مقابلات. He actually said at one point “trust in the party, trust in the government” which led many people to roll their eyes in exasperation. وقال انه في الواقع عند نقطة واحدة "الثقة في الحزب ، والثقة في الحكومة" مما ادى الى كثير من الناس في عيونهم لفة في الغضب.
But he did give us a few more details. لكنه لم يقدم لنا المزيد من التفاصيل القليلة.
- he described going to the police department and marching into an officer’s office, -- وصف الذهاب الى ادارة الشرطة وزحف الى مكتب الضابط ،
- the officer rudely said “what do you want?”, -- بوقاحه وقال الضابط "ماذا تريد؟"
- he gave an equally rude answer along the lines of “I’m just here to play”, -- القى بنفس القدر rude الاجابه على النحو التالي : "انا هنا للتو ان تؤديه" ،
- officer pushed him out of the office, pushing/shoving/cursing follow, finally he’s taken to the education ministry. -- موظف ودفعته للخروج من المكتب ، دفع / الدفع / يتبع اللعنه ، واخيرا انه اقتيد الى وزارة التربيه والتعليم.
Apparently, the officer he had a clash with has been suspended without pay for 15 days. ويبدو ان الضابط كان معه في صدام قد علق بدون مرتب لمدة 15 يوما. The injuries suffered by the uncle, according to the hospital, included a slight concussion and some bruises/scratches. فان الاصابات التي مني بها العم ، وفقا لالمستشفى ، وشملت الهزه طفيفة وبعض الكدمات / خدوش. It looks likely the girl’s immediate family is being treated kindly. ويبدو من المرجح ان الفتاة افراد الاسرة المباشره التي يعامل بها برفق. The uncle mentions being visited by various government leaders, expressing their concern, over the last week. ويذكر العم يزورها مختلف الزعماء الحكوميين ، وأعربوا عن قلقهم ، على مدى الاسبوع الماضي.
I’m optimistic that those involved in attacking the uncle will be found. انا متفائل بان المتورطين فى الهجوم على العم ويمكن الاطلاع. This is a small place, I’m sure many people know exactly who was involved. هذا هو مكان صغير ، وانا متأكد كثير من الناس يعرفون بالضبط من هو المعنية. If it was anyone linked to public security, they should make that clear. واذا كان اي شخص يرتبط الأمن العام ، وعليهم ان يجعلوا من ذلك واضح. The skill level of the coroner in the Weng’an county town is probably very poor. مستوى مهاره الطبيب الشرعي في مقاطعة مدينة weng'an ربما سيئة للغاية. @Buxi - You might find the idea of foreigners examining Chinese nationalism (whatever that is) somewhat patronising, but it is 100% important to understand it if one is to understand modern China (something I cannot claim with any great confidence to do). @ Buxi -- قد تجد فكرة القوميه الصينية للاجانب دراسة (أيا كان هذا هو (patronising بعض الشيء ، الا انه 100 ٪ المهم ان نفهم انه اذا اراد المرء ان يفهم الصين الحديثة (شيء أنني لا أستطيع أن أدعي مع اي ثقة كبيرة أن تفعل).
As for the facts of the case, this is for the authorities to decide. اما بالنسبة الى وقائع القضية ، وهذا بالنسبة للسلطات ان تقرر. I doubt that even a relatively poor coroner could miss the signs of a violent rape and death, so I am inclined to believe the initial verdict - although releasing three verdicts in as many days does smack of panic. انني أشك في أنه حتى الطبيب الشرعي الفقيره نسبيا ويمكن ان نفوت دلائل على وجود العنف والاغتصاب والموت ، ولذلك فإنني أميل الى الاعتقاد بأن الحكم الأولي -- على الرغم من الافراج عن ثلاثة قرارات في اكبر عدد أيام هل الصفعه الذعر والهلع.

On the three verdicts… the first one was done within 24 hours of the death; the second was done shortly after the 25th on the father’s request; the third was just conducted after the riots. الاحكام التي صدرت على ثلاثة… وكان اول واحد القيام به في غضون 24 ساعة من وفاة ؛ الثانية وتم ذلك بعد فترة وجيزة من الخامس والعشرين على طلب الاب ؛ الثالثة التي اجريت للتو بعد اعمال الشغب التي وقعت. I don’t think it’s panic, but it’sa clear sign of the total lack of credibility the “system” has in the eyes of many. لا اعتقد انه الذعر ، ولكن it'sa اشارة واضحة من اجمالي الافتقار الى المصداقيه "النظام" في نظر الكثيرين.
Many are still insisting that even the provincial investigation team isn’t credible, and are insisting on a national investigation. كثيرة مازالت مصرة حتى ان فريق التحقيق المقاطعه ليست ذات مصداقيه ، ويصرون على تحقيق وطنية. (And even after that, I suspect some will insist the United Nations should get involved.) (وحتى بعد ذلك ، واعتقد ان بعض سوف تصر الامم المتحدة وينبغى ان تشارك.)

That was my gut feeling as the story broke - “a clear sign of the total lack of credibility the ’system’ has in the eyes of many.” I don’t want to diminish the loss of a young life but this is a story about trust. وهذا هو الشعور بلادي الوتر القصة كما حطم -- "دلالة واضحة على الانعدام التام للمصداقيه' نظام 'في نظر الكثيرين." انا لا اريد ان يقلل من فقدان شاب ولكن هذه هي الحياة قصة عن الثقة. Thus the question isn’t so much as to what it will take to get to the truth but what it will take to rebuild trust. وهكذا فان المساله ليست بقدر ما سوف يستغرق للوصول الى الحقيقة ولكن ما سوف تتخذ لاعادة بناء الثقة. If that takes a national investigation then that’s what the government needs to do. اذا كان ذلك يحتاج الى تحقيق وطنية ثم ان ما تحتاج الحكومة الى القيام به. And when doing so, both the government and the people need to recognize that its just another leg in the journey. وعندما تفعل ذلك ، فان كلا من الحكومة والشعب على ضرورة الاعتراف بأن مجرد رحلة في ساقه.
… Did I miss something or did the Western media largely ignored this story? … هل أنا شيئا او لم تفوت وسائل الاعلام الغربية الى حد كبير تجاهل هذه القصة؟ Yes, it was picked up by a few media outlets that are interested in China but if I wasn’t reading Xinhua or this blog, I would have completely missed it. نعم ، انها التقطت من قبل عدد قليل من وسائل الإعلام التي تهتم في الصين ولكن اذا لم أكن شينخوا القراءة او هذا بلوق ، لكنت قد ضاعت تماما.
